The Call

Public forum. Talk about anything with your fellow hams. You can tell your buddy about your new wheels, but try to drift back to ham radio at some point.

DX, contests, POTA, SOTA, fox hunts, and QSO parties. Log summaries, activation reports, and war stories welcome.

Vehicle installs, antenna mounts, wiring tricks, go-kits, and portable operating setups. Whether you're working the commute or heading to a summit, this is your forum.

ARES, RACES, SKYWARN, and public service. Training, activations, and emergency preparedness for hams who show up when it counts.

Good old analog voice mode! Whether you like to call CQ and take your chances, or settle into an old fashioned, armchair copy ragchew, you're come to the right place.

HF operating — contacts, conditions, band reports, and the ones that got away. What did you work today?

New rig on the bench? Reviews, unboxings, comparisons, and first impressions. If it plugs in or powers up, talk about it here.

Builds, comparisons, theory, and real-world experiments. From a simple dipole to a full tower installation — if it radiates or carries RF, the conversation belongs here.

Kit builds, scratch construction, QRP projects, mods, and repairs. Show your work — progress photos and finished builds both welcome.

Logging software, CAT control, SDR apps, and station automation. The software side of the shack has its own learning curve — share what works.

Every ham loves a shack tour. Post your photos, describe your setup, and let us admire your cable management, or lack thereof. Upgrades and before/after posts welcome.

Get to know your fellow TARC members. Interviews, bios, shack visits, and video introductions. Every ham has a story, this is where we tell them.

Got your ticket and a head full of questions? Veteran ham with answers to share? This is the place to meet, learn, and mentor. No question is too basic here.

Something got you stumped? Post it here. Between this club's collective experience, somebody knows the answer, and you'll feel a lot better when they share it.

In-depth articles, features, and editorial pieces on the amateur radio hobby. Carefully researched and written for hams who want to go deeper. Teaching moments ahead.

Having trouble finding your way around The Call? There may be a short tutorial here that is just what you're looking for. Also, members may contribute reference material like ham radio guides, operating techniques, setup procedures, and practical knowledge. All of this contributes to our collective knowledge base.
